The Center for Empowered Parenting delivers the gold standard in training and consultation for professionals serving children with behavioral challenges and their families across the continuum of care. We provide research-informed education, clinical consultation, and operational strategy to strengthen services for children with externalizing behaviors and the full spectrum of parent–child emotion regulation needs.
We are expert psychologists and operational leaders sharing our combined decades of expertise in stepped care implementation, complex crisis intervention, and integrated clinical and operational partnerships across all levels of care.
Our Team
Erin Gonzalez
PhD Child Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Gonzalez is a licensed child clinical psychologist devoted to helping children and teens with disruptive behavior and ADHD thrive. Her mission is to bridge research on externalizing behavior treatments into real-world guidance for families and professionals.
Dr. Gonzalez is an Associate Professor at University of Washington School of Medicine in the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences and Department of Pediatrics. She has practiced at Seattle Children’s Hospital since 2014 and co-founded the Behavior and Attention Management Specialty Program. She also co-directs the First Approach Skills Training program to provide training in brief evidence-based treatments for integrated care settings.
Dr. Gonzalez is the mother of two girls and enjoys snow and water sports and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
Tyler is a licensed child clinical psychologist whose work centers on helping families navigate challenging child behaviors and develop warmer, more available, and more regulated relationships. His work focuses on helping parents better understand their children, better understand themselves, and recognize the powerful role that parent self-regulation can play in changing family interactions. He is passionate about translating what we know from research into high-quality clinical care, while continuing to push for new and better ways to support children and families.
Tyler is an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a psychologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he has worked since 2015. He co-directs the Behavior and Attention Management (BAM) Specialty Program, which provides evidence-based parent and family interventions for children with behavioral and attention challenges, and leads BAM’s services for children and families with the most acute behavioral needs.
Cori Hamilton
Cori is an expert in the operational implementation and growth of mental health outpatient and crisis programs serving children with externalizing behaviors and their families. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and brings a unique background spanning behavioral health, military operations, and program development.
Cori specializes in building sustainable systems of care through strong clinical and operational partnerships. She has led significant program growth, expanding a behavioral health program to four times its annual visit volume while optimizing resources to improve access, quality, and clinician experience. Her military leadership experience includes overseeing intelligence operations overseas and implementing process improvements that increased intelligence report production by 200% in five months. Cori is dedicated to creating sustainable systems that improve outcomes for families and the experience of the clinicians who serve them.
